Mr Haider Syed is a senior Consultant Urological Surgeon with 36 years of experience in urology, including over 25 years as a consultant and extensive experience in the NHS.
He has specialist expertise in kidney stone disease, having been a clinical lead for NHS kidney stone and laser services for many years. He also has extensive experience in the assessment and treatment of prostate problems, urinary symptoms, haematuria, urinary infections, and common male urological conditions.

He completed his specialist urology training at the renowned John Radcliffe and Churchill Hospitals in Oxford in 2000.

An accredited regional and national urology trainer by the General Medical Council, Mr. Syed is also an examiner for the FRCS Urology revision course. His research has been published in esteemed journals like the British Journal of Urology and the Journal of Endourology.
He has presented at conferences for the British Association of Urological Surgeons, European Urology, and World Endourology meetings.
In September 2022, Mr. Syed underwent a comprehensive 360-degree revalidation conducted independently by Spire Healthcare, receiving excellent feedback from both colleagues and patients.
Professional Urologist Experience
Mr Syed qualified in medicine in 1984 and completed his specialist urological training in Oxford, becoming a Consultant Urological Surgeon in 2000.
He holds FRCS (Urology) and is a Fellow of the European Board of Urology (FEBU). He has extensive experience in both NHS and private urology and has trained and supervised doctors in urological surgery throughout his consultant career.
His particular specialist interest has been kidney stone disease and minimally invasive stone surgery, alongside the diagnosis and treatment of common adult urological conditions.
